6105

Aluminum alloy 6105 is a medium strength alloy very similar to alloy 6061 except it contains higher amounts of silicon.  In bending operations T1 temper (naturally aged) is preferred.  The excess silicon content may cause properties to increase more rapidly with natural aging than typically experienced with 6063 and 6061 alloys.  In comparison to 6061, 6105 is an easier alloy to use when extruding and less quench sensitive which allows for more complex shapes.
